In September and October 2026, Alice Keirle completed a three-week research placement at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she worked alongside fellow researcher Magda Gois. The placement was supported by Prof. Roman Perez-Fernandez, Marina Pampin Iglesias and Dr. Pablo Cabezas Sainz.
During her stay, Alice gained hands-on experience with in vivo zebrafish work and 3D spheroid models, two approaches that were new to her. The practical and collaborative nature of the placement allowed the researchers to exchange knowledge, share expertise, and learn new techniques and protocols from one another. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to build new skills and strengthen collaboration between the research teams.
