eRaDicate is recruiting highly motivated and skilled PhD students as Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Candidates (DCs).

The doctoral candidates (DCs) will be trained not only to perform original and independent research on an internationally competitive level, but also in developing creative, critical and entrepreneurial mindsets, to be prepared for a wide spectrum of career opportunities. The DCs will enjoy a generous financial compensation package, opportunities for networking, outreach, and personal development by obtaining their PhD as a member of a highly prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network.

The DCs will be employed by the host institution of the selected project and enrolled in the host organisation’s or affiliated university’s PhD programme.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must fulfil the mobility rule: Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date. (Compulsory national service, short stays such as holidays, and time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status are not considered.) Proof required.
  • Applicants must not hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree. (M.D. is eligible)
  • During their employment, applicants must not have any additional (part-time) jobs.
  • Applicants must not have a conflict of interest with their future supervisors (family, relationship, economic interest etc.).

  •  Completed application form (download above), with indication of up to 2 projects you are applying for.
  • A research exposé of max. two pages.
  • Academic CV.
  • Academic transcript
  • graduation certificate (if available)
    OR
    evidence that the required degree will be obtained by the expected recruitment date (between 1.9.2024 and 1.11.2024, see individual job offers for details), e.g. confirmation letter by the supervisor.
  • Proof of English language proficiency: please CHECK THE INDIVIDUAL PROJECT AND INSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS for the required level and the links to the host-institutions’ PhD programmes in the individual adverts for the accepted tests, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Cambridge, native speaker, etc.
  • Two letters of reference + filled out referee forms (download above), to be submitted by the referees (not the applicants themselves).
  • Valid ID & proof of eligibility regarding the mobility rule; e.g. student record, work contract, proof of residency, utility bills, etc… for the last three years.
